Just When You Thought it was Safe to Go Back to the Track
This is how I read the first paragraph of a sappy Yahoo article:

Max Springer just wanted to keep running until he was 70. He passed away 20 years ago. Even after his 90th birthday, Springer is still competing in 5-kilometer road races and national track meets.
Just imagining it gave me chills: the prospect of a man, dead for twenty years but still running in track meets, his horrifying and ghastly decomposed visage terrifying competitors and spectators alike. Of course, what the article actually said was:
Max Springer just wanted to keep running until he was 70. He passed that goal 20 years ago. Even after his 90th birthday, Springer is still competing in 5-kilometer road races and national track meets.
But you still won’t catch me at any track meets in the near future. Not without a crucifix and some garlic around my neck.

In other news, BMW drivers are still assholes.
