Phone conversation with C-baby, last Saturday: I’m talking about the new mouthpiece I just bought for my trumpet, she’s watching Caprial and John’s Kitchen on PBS.

“You see,” I explained, “my old mouthpiece was wider and shallower, while this new one is deeper but narrower, so it should feel more comfortable but still have a good sound.”

There’s a pause on the line, then: “Caprial has a big ass.”
